You can’t have a spring festival in the style of Bon Odori without entertainment. That’s why Daikin Festival 2024 – May 3 from 6:30pm until 9pm – offers you and your family the widest imaginable range of delights.
You can learn a Japanese folk dance, take in a performance by Daikin’s amazing drum corps, Taiko Force, or find a seat down front for Natchez Trace – a local favorite classic rock band.
And that doesn’t even count the people watching opportunities.
Youngsters will want to check out Pichon Kun, Daikin’s adorable mascot. And don’t miss the Colorful Hat Circus Act. You’ll find them doing amazing tricks and stunts at the “Performers” tent.
If you like to entertain yourself by learning a cool new skill, be sure to join in the Shodo presentation. Shodo – ancient Japanese calligraphy – brings Japanese culture to life in a very hands-on way. You can even make your own calligraphy.
It’s all happening at Point Mallard and it’s all free, including admission, food, drink, and a wealth of entertainment. Be sure to stay for the fireworks show that will wrap up the night.
