Daikin America, Inc. hosted our 28th Annual Daikin United Way Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 28. Despite the rainy weather, one hundred and sixty golfers and thirty Daikin employee volunteers showed up to support the United Way of Morgan County.
Every year, we pay all player fees for the tournament and provide breakfast and lunch to entrants so that all the money raised goes directly to United Way. Daikin provided swag bags that included donated items from our vendors. We also gave away more than forty door prizes that our vendors provided.
While the day started out damp and dreary, our volunteers rode the courses and handed out plenty of donated snacks and drinks to keep the players going. Everyone was happy when the weather started clearing about after the 5th Hole. The day ended on a positively brilliant note when we were able to announce that Daikin raised $300,000 for the United Way of Morgan County!
