Golf Tournament Continues Quarter-Century Tradition

Daikin’s charity golf tournament has raised millions of dollars for United Way over the last 25 years.

More than 100 area companies joined hands with Daikin America as it hosted its 25th annual charity golf tournament to support United Way of Morgan County this week.

The Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Hampton Cove was the setting, as 128 golfers squared off in a scramble-style tournament on both the Highlands and River courses on Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Each year, Daikin provides green fees, golf cart rental, food and refreshments for all participants, which means 100% of sponsor donations go directly to United Way.

The Daikin America, Inc. Charity Golf Tournament brought in $285,000. DAI Employees pledged $87,510.54 for 2022. DAI will match Employee donations 100%. Altogether, this is over $460,000, which is around 30% of the annual budget of United Way of Morgan County.”

Congratulations to all who participated and made this year’s tournament a huge success.
