The Daikin Festival is back for 2024.
On May 3, from 6:30 until 9pm CDT, we will celebrate Daikin’s 30th Anniversary at this Bon Odori-style festival at Point Mallard Park.
Daikin Festival 2024 features live music, Japanese Folk Dancing and an amazing array of food and drink: Pizza, BBQ, chicken fingers, jambalaya, hamburgers, Yakisoba (grilled buckwheat noodles with beef and special sauce) and this year’s new addition, Yakitori (charcoal-grilled chicken in a special sauce).
The festival is a family event, with something for everyone. You can learn Shodo (Japanese calligraphy), pick up a few dance steps, and hear a variety of music–including Daikin’s “Taiko Force” drum team and popular local band Natchez Trace. The evening of food, and music, and family fun will end with a fireworks presentation.
Best of all, it’s FREE!
Your food, drink, and entertainment is all taken care at no cost to your family.
So, plan now to join us for one of the largest and best Japanese cultural events in the Southeast. And watch this space for updates.
