Daikin Partners with Calhoun College in EPIC program

Chase Wiliams and Allie Appleton have now completed the EPIC program

Daikin is among a group of Decatur-area chemical companies who are partnering with Calhoun College in their EPIC program.

The acronym stands for Engineering Process Industrial Control and it is a two-year degree program. Students attend classes at Calhoun in Decatur on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and work at a chemical facility on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Upon completion of the program, students have an Associate Degree in the valuable field of Process Control Technology.

Shown here are Chase Williams and Allie Appleton, two EPIC students who were among the first to graduate from the program. Both were hired full-time upon receiving their degrees.

Daikin is proud to be a part of this educational and practical program to train the next generation of high-tech workers.
