Yakisoba is a Japanese dish that is out of this world.
It’s made with grilled buckwheat noodles, beef and a special sauce, and if you want to enjoy this tasty treat with a few thousand of your closest friends, all you’ll need is:
- 336 pounds of yakisoba noodles
- 18 gallons of yakisoba sauce
- 200 pounds of shredded cabbage
- 60 pounds of roast beef
- 3 gallons of cooking oil
Or, you could just come to Daikin Festival 2024, May 3 from 6:30pm until 9pm at Point Mallard.
Because we will be using exactly those ingredients to make 5,000 servings of Yakisoba for hungry festival goers.
We believe you can’t have a Bon Odori festival like ours without really good food and quality entertainment. That’s why, every year, we offer tasty treats like these: BBQ. Hamburgers. Chicken Fingers. Yakitori (charcoal grilled chicken). Jambalaya. And Pizza.
In the meantime, if you’re interested in making yakisoba at home, here’s how we do it:
- Step 1 – pour a puddle of oil the size of a pancake
- Step 2 – 1/3 of a bag of Cabbage – Chop on the grill, cook until a little limp
- Step 3 – ~ 8 oz. Roast Beef (one fourth of a 2 pound bag)
- Step 4 – add nine bricks of noodles after heating in water for one minute
- Step 5 – 12 to 14 ounces of Sauce (80 oz per bottle x 33 bottles each tent)
- Step 6 – Blend thoroughly using spatulas (don’t chop the noodles)
Please join us for Daikin Festival 2024 and be sure to bring your appetite.
