Daikin Neighbors Night Brings Friends Together

Daikin America hosted Neighbors Night at its Decatur Plant on November 21, 2024. Thankfully, 28 of our
local community friends and elected officials from Decatur and Morgan County were able to attend.

After a short time of fellowship, Mike Ladd welcomed the crowd, and Michael Cagle blessed the food.
We then enjoyed a great dinner of meatloaf, turkey, dressing and additional sides, and dessert. After
dinner, our Decatur plant leadership team presented a variety of plant updates to our neighbors.

Lensey Smith shared that Daikin Industries celebrated their 100th Anniversary this year. Approximately
2500 Daikin employees from around the world attended the ceremony in Japan. Scott Missildine and
Arash Ghoja provided safety and environmental updates, including the news that Daikin received our
Responsible Care recertification and an update on greenhouse gas emissions. We were also awarded the Green Heart Factory Silver Certification from Daikin Industries.

Allan Britnell provided an update on DAI contributions to the community, including the $20,000 donation to Decatur Fire & Rescue, the Daikin Festival, our significant support of the United Way of Morgan County, and the Career Academies of Decatur. Phillip Bryant, Rachel Hill, and Deborah Clark awarded door prizes as the Neighbors Night event ended.

We appreciate all our Neighbors who attended this event and look forward to the next Neighbors Night
in late 2025.
