On Monday, January 20, Daikin America, Inc. awarded ten Morgan County students a Daikin Minority Scholarship for the 2025-2026 school term at the 32nd Annual Decatur Morgan County Minority Development Association (DMDA) Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast and Scholarship Awards Program.
Each student completed an application and was selected by a DMDA-appointed committee based on qualifying criteria.
The following students were awarded scholarships totaling $20,000 to attend the college of their choice: Shahad Aldabashi, Charity Brown, Piyush Giri, Rosa Hernandez Alonso, Samyah Hunter-Young, Anina Plott, KamRon Powell, Jayden Shekell, Obie Smith, and Tyana Swan. Congratulations to all the students who received scholarships.
