We’re pretty enthusiastic about yakitori making an appearance at Daikin Festival 2024, May 3 from 6:30pm until 9pm.
It may be the ultimate Japanese comfort food, although the word actually translates to “grilled chicken.” It can be found at street food stalls and home kitchens alike.
Slow-cooked to perfection over charcoal, yakitori gets its flavor from the grilling and a special soy-based sauce with ginger, sugar, mirin (rice wine) sake, green onions and spices. It’s sweet, salty, and delicious!
Yakitori will be just one of the wonderful food offerings at Daikin Festival 2024, along with American favorites like BBQ, burgers, Jambalaya and more, but if you really want to embrace the spirit of Bon Odori, give the yakitori a try on May 3 from 6:30pm until 9pm at Point Mallard.
