Daikin’s “Taiko Force” drum team performed during festivities at The World Games 2022 in Birmingham today.
The team provided entertainment at a reception hosted by the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) before an audience that included Consul General of Japan Kazuyuki Takeuchi, a coach and athlete from Japan’s World Games canoe team, and Alabama Secretary of State Greg Canfield.
The purpose of the event was to show appreciation for the positive economic impact Japanese companies have on the State of Alabama.
Many thanks to our amazing Taiko drummers, Daikin leaders and employees, and the logistics team who helped make the performance possible.
The team is preparing for a performance at the Japan-America Society of Alabama (JASA) annual dinner, scheduled for October 20, 2022 in Huntsville. Governor Kay Ivey will attend and speak at the event.
